What happened over the last week / Relacja z zeszłego tygodnia

Last week has been pretty hectic and stressful, with up to 4 different "vendors" on-site on the same day (including: Mr Jacek the developer, Mr Andrzej the electrician, Mr Tomek the heating expert, Mr Bartek the windows & doors expert). Key issue of the week was a delay in windows delivery - due to a technical issue with the first set of windows they produced. New date is the week of Oct 12 for all the doors & windows.

On the positive side, visible part of the heating system & electricity was installed, and first internal walls start to appear :-). There is also a lot of progress inside the garage, which will apparently be the first complete interior of the house.

Separately, I have started intensive research of all the "decoration materials". I know exactly what I am looking for, so I only need to find the best offers. This will be the most exciting part of the project :-).

Dużo się działo w zeszłym tygodniu, a przez plac budowy przewijało się wielu dostawców, w tym: p. Jacek główny wykonawca, p. Andrzej elektryk, p. Tomek od ogrzewania, p. Bartek od drzwi i okien. Z głównych problemów to opóźniły nam się okna - niestety komplet przyjedzie dopiero w połowie października. Co do osiągnięć, to mamy teraz w domu naprawdę sporo różnych rurek i kabli, oraz gotowy kolektor słoneczny. Pojawiła się też pierwsza ścianka wewnętrzna :-). Mamy również otynkowany i okablowany garaż.

New fence / Nowy tylni płot

Last week our construction workers were out, but this did not cause all the work to stop. Key achievements are:

- The fence at the back of the house got constructed,

- More and more kilometres of electric cables are being placed on the walls.

Next week is a big week: heating installation starts, and the first set of windows arrives!

Urlop panów wykonawców trwa, ale trochę się dzieje:

- Postawiliśmy płot z tyłu domu,

- Położona jest duża część elektryki na parterze.

Już od poniedziałku ruszamy z instalacją ogrzewania, a w czwartek pojawi się pierwsza partia okien :-).

Electrician, part 1 / Elektryk, odsłona 1

At this stage, there is not much "visible progress" left and you have to enjoy the tiny details that make a difference. Like a few new electricity cables in the garage, or some metal widgets placed on the walls. ;-).

Na tym etapie budowy, trzeba zacząć cieszyć się małymi zmianami. Np. paroma puszkami elektrycznymi w garażu, czy kawałkami metalowych stelaży na ścianach :-).

Another week of vacation / A panowie znowu mają urlop

This week our "development team" is again on vacation, but everything is fully ready for the heating installation starting next week. They are done with the floor (both concrete and wooden part), they have started with the water & waste pipes, and with the levelling of walls.

Note how nice our new dining room looks like.

Panowie znowu "urlopują", ale wszystko jest gotowe na przyjazd p. Tomka od ogrzewania. Na podłodze leży już drewniany ruszt oraz wylewka pod ogród zimowy. Częściowo położone są rury wodno-kanalizacyjne, i rozpoczęło sie wyrównywanie ścian stelażami po karton-gips.

Zwróćcie uwagę na nową gustowną jadalnię :-).

Ceiling & floor works in progress / Mamy sufit i trochę podłogi

I haven't been to the site for the whole last week, so the difference is quite striking. First of all, the ceiling has been constructed, and now I'm trying to figure out if it looks the way I expected ;-).

Secondly, the floor is practically ready to place the isolation layer (recycled paper strikes back!).

The electrician is booked, and for reasonable money, and windows are doors are due in 2-3 weeks from now. I have also purchased a fence for the back side of the garden.

Overall, we're pretty much on track for the heating installation in 2 weeks from now. Next week, Mr Jacek needs to speed up to complete all the pending items, especially as he plans a week off for the week after.

Nie było mnie na budowie przez ostatni tydzień, więc różnica jest spora - po pierwsze, pojawił się drewniany sufit. Wg mojej koncepcji, więc powinno mi się podobać, ale wrażenia mam mieszane.

Ponadto, prawie skończony jest ruszt podłogowy, tak że na ten tydzień można znów zamawiać panów od makulatury.

Wreszcie, dogadaliśmy się z elektrykiem, okna i drzwi "się robią", oraz zamówiłam płot na tylną stronę domu. Idzie więc do przodu, oby tylko za bardzo do końca października nie padało.

Elektryk zaczyna za tydzień, pan Tomek zaczyna działać z ogrzewaniem za 2 tygodnie, a pan Jacek bierze tydzień wolnego :-/. Ale może jakoś damy ze wszystkim radę...
