The Doors / Mamy i drzwi

Moving forward as planned. New things that got installed in the last few days are:
- Front door (I love it!),
- Front fence gate automation (front fence requires repainting, but overall everything works),
- Alarm installation (now I feel secure!),
- Majority of the wooden facade, and the rest of it is ready for covering it with the whitish paste,
- More of the inside walls turned white. Upper floor is almost ready for painting :-).
Plans for this week:
- As much of the facade as the weather allows,
- More of the white walls,
- Bathrooms startup,
- Follow-ups on windows batch 3,
- MORE shopping! :-)

Jedziemy zgodnie z planem. Dom wzbogacił się o:
- Piękne! drzwi wejściowe,
- Automatykę bramy wjazdowej (działa, choć całe ogrodzenie trzeba odmalować, bo wygląda szpetnie),
- Instalację alarmową z monitoringiem,
- Większość drewnianej elewacji oraz ostateczne obróbki pod tynk,
- Coraz więcej białych wyszlifowanych ścian :-).
W tym tygodniu zamierzamy:
- Położyć ile się da elewacji,
- Kontynuować szlifowanie wewnątrz,
- Może początek prac łazienkowych?,
- Dalej upominać się o resztę okien,
- Ciąg dalszy dużych zakupów :-).

Windows 2.0

Time to celebrate, the 2nd batch of windows have arrived! Initial plan was to have them installed last Sat - however, glass was missing so the guys could only install frames. Glass panes arrived yesterday, and all this means that windows completion % jumped from 18% to 37% (vs. target of 100% 4 weeks ago, but well...).
Inside the house, the walls are turning white, which really looks nice :-). Overall, the work is moving fast forward and I'm looking quite optimistic into the future of moving in in Jan 10 timing.
Shopping continues, majority of bathroom stuff is either delivered or ordered, and also the wooden floors have arrived. It is now time to decide on wall colors :-).
Still this week, front fence gate will get automated, front door arrives, and there might be some progress with the facade if the weather allows.

Patrzę i oczom nie wierzę, mamy kolejną partię okien! To co prawda tylko 37% całości, ale przynajmniej nie blokuje nam dalszych prac. Nie obyło się bez atrakcji - w sobotę przyjechały tylko ramy, a szyby dojechały dopiero wczoraj. No ale jest i wygląda. Czekamy na resztę.
W środku pełną parą idzie tynkowanie, i pokoje zaczynają wyglądać naprawdę przyjemnie. Kompletuję coraz więcej wyposażenia, m.in. wczoraj dojechały parkiety. Przede mną wybór kolorów ścian.
W tym tygodniu instalujemy jeszcze automatykę bramy wjazdowej, drzwi zewnętrzne, parapety, i może ruszymy temat elewacji - o ile pogoda dopisze.

A few new toys / Mamy kilka nowych zabawek

More of this week's progress!:
- Automated garage door (for cars) installed - looks beautiful!
- Manual garage door (for people) installed - passed conditionally - the golden door handle needs to be replaced,
- Front fence works continue, actually we're now waiting for concrete to dry out,
- Inside walls 90% covered with "carton",
- The first toilet was installed and works! Time to let in the bacteria into the sewage plant.
- Bathroom tiles (batch 1) have arrived :-).
Next week is the new due date for the 2nd batch of windows, and I'm expecting some more bathroom stuff to be delivered.

I znowu parę rzeczy posunęło się do przodu!
- Brama garażowa jest i działa - jest super,
- Drzwi garażowe są - tylko klamka do wymiany (dali złotą!!!),
- Ogrodzenie właściwie gotowe, czekamy aż beton wyschnie i zamontujemy bramę,
- Karton-gips skończony w 90%,
- Pozbyliśmy się "WC chatki" na rzecz pierwszego działajacego WC,
- Przyjechały pierwsze kafelki.
W przyszłym tygodniu w napięciu czekam na 2. partię okien, a poza tym kontynuujemy ze ścianami i łazienkami.

Weird-looking pipes / Dziwne rurki

Not much visible progress this week - all of it is well hidden. Water & sewage installations are complete now, as well as majority of the walls.

The fence is practically ready, except for the gate which is waiting for the concrete to dry out. Follow-ups with multiple vendors are on-going (mainly windows!). Bathroom shopping continues.

Tak na oko to nie za wiele się dzieje, ale de facto zakończyliśmy etap wodno-kanalizacyjny. Karton-gips jest już właściwie wszędzie.

Płot został postawiony, musimy tylko poczekać ze 2 tygodnie aż beton wyschnie przed zamontowaniem bramy. Ja tymczasem pilnuję i poganiam wszelkich naszych zamówień (w tym nieszczęsnych okien), no i kontynuuję wydawanie gotówki, głównie na łazienkę.

The heating is on / Włączyliśmy ogrzewanie

The status this week is pretty much similar to the previous one: more or less on track, except the windows. Majority of the tasks I hoped to get completed last week got delayed by a few days, to this week, but the weather is pretty much supportive so the impact should be minimal.

- The front fence has arrived. Looks just the way I imagined :-) (and, as usual, totally different from what all the neighbours have ;-) ).

- Fence construction has started and is on track to be completed this week. Keeping fingers crossed as this is really last-minute before winter.

- Heating installation is completed, as much as this was possible without majority of the windows. All rooms are connected and the complex machinery is installed and running. We obviously do not have the solar panels or the pellet stove on yet, so the source of heat is electricity. This costs a fortune but we plan to cover from the penalty we receive from our windows vendor.

- Practically all walls are covered now with the carton panels (or whatever the name is :-) ) and are ready for the next step of making them perfectly even.

- Roof windows are getting a nice wooden frame.

- Electricity is 90% installed. Only a few items pending.

- Shopping continues! I am slowly purchasing all the bathroom components, electric switches, lamps etc.

Tomorrow the garage door gets installed. 2nd batch of windows is delayed 2 more weeks :-/.

Status w tym tygodniu jest dość podobny do poprzedniego: generalnie idzie do przodu, choć trochę wolniej od oczekiwań, z wyjątkiem okien, które idą dużo wolniej od oczekiwań :-/. Całe szczęście nie ma jeszcze mrozów, bo mielibyśmy duży problem.

- Przyjechało ogrodzenie frontowe, wygląda super, panowie od ogrodzeń bardzo się dziwili, że chciałam taki kolor, ale mnie się właśnie tak podoba :-).

- Montaż ogrodzenia się zaczął i może się uda skończyć do końca tygodnia. Trzeba się z tym spieszyć, póki temperatury są dodatnie.

- Zainstalowane jest ogrzewanie, na tyle na ile się dało - wszystkie pokoje są podłączone, no i jedziemy na 6 kW grzałce elektrycznej. Kominka i solarów niestety nie da się podłączyć bez wszystkich okien. Ogólnie instalacja wygląda imponująco :-).

- Wszystkie ściany są już właściwie pokryte karton-gipsem - można zaczynać szpachlowanie i gipsowanie.

- Pan Jacek robi ładną drewnianą ramę okien połaciowych.

- Elektryka na ukończeniu.

- Zakupy trwają - głównie tematy łazienkowe, gniazdka, oraz co-tam-się-trafi z dobrych promocji.

Jutro montaż bramy i drzwi garażowych, a okien niestety nie :-/.
